AGNIHOTRA FARMS

WELCOME TO AGNIHOTRA FARMS

Who We Are

Homa Therapy belongs to the sciences of life as described in the Vedic scriptures. It is based on the process of conversion or removal of toxic states in the atmosphere by means of Vedic fire techniques called Homa or Yajnya (Yagna). Agnihotra is the fundamental fire ceremony. There are also other simple yajnyas, such as the OM Tryambakam Homa, which is also practiced and passed on at the Homa-Hof.

What We Do

The central idea of the Homa Therapy is: “Heal the atmosphere and the atmosphere will heal you.“ Through the practice of Yagnas we can counteract the present-day pollution, which places a heavy burden on the Earth and all its creatures. Yajnyas set processes in motion that have a purifying and harmonizing effect on the air and the entire atmosphere, on water and earth, in the material as well as in the subtle realm. We create a harmonious energy cycle that has a positive effect on the energy system of humans and nature.

Sustainable In All We Do

The Homa Therapy consists of performing Homa fires and using the remaining highly vibrational ashes. Due to its holistic and universal effectiveness, it can be used successfully in many areas. The following statements are based on experience; many effects have already been confirmed by scientists.

AGNIHOTRA FARMS

Environment

Air pollution is a global problem today. Yajnyas purify the surrounding air and greatly reduce toxins in the atmosphere. Cloud formation can be influenced to produce nourishing rain. Dirty water can be purified by yajnyas and the remaining ash. The practice of special Homa fires can contribute to close the ozone layer which is damaged by the pollution. The entire ecosystem benefits from Homa Therapy. Birds seek refuge and relief in places where Homa is performed on a regular basis.

Livestock farming

There are good successes with Homa. The animals are calmer and more balanced whether they are kept in the barn or out on the pasture. Many animals have already been successfully treated with Agnihotra ash, for example in case of suppurations, ulcers, parasites, but also in epidemics..

Forestry

Experiments with Homa in damaged forest areas have shown that after a short time, diseased trees formed new leaves, lichen was reduced and the pH of an acidic soil increased from 4.6 to 6.8. Unwanted insects such as bark beetles moved away from the experimental area, and the animals of the forest became very trusting. Again and again, animals look for healing places where Homa is performed.

Medicine & Bioenergetics

Yaynyas purify the ambient air and are a great help in respiratory diseases, especially in asthma. Agnihotra ash is used as a supportive remedy in case of many diseases and health complaints. By adding ghee (1 part ash to 9 parts ghee) an ointment can also be made. There are innumerable reports of healing in humans, animals and plants, even in case of diseases where there was no other remedy..

Measurements of the brainwaves showed that within minutes Agnihotra generates such peaceful states of consciousness as they are otherwise detectable in deep meditation only.

Yajnyas purify the subtle atmosphere, thus eliminating stress and tensions of mind. Our energy system comes back into harmony and an atmosphere of peace is created. Great successes have already been achieved in the treatment of addicts, depression, anxiety, trauma, overactive children, and so on.

Spiritual Development

Homa Therapy is the fundamental material aid to transforming our minds so that they are filled with love and humility. Thereby the subtle vibration is raised very much. The visible transformation by fire – the burning of material substances that transform into energy, light and heat – is the counterpart of an internal process: it is the process of transforming an earthly, worldly human into a conscious, spiritual being, flooded by divine light.

On the Agnihotra Farms you can see and experience the effects of Homa Therapy in many areas. The healthy, large plants are convincing, and the taste of fruits and vegetables often triggers happy amazement. Again and again, visitors of the Homa-Hof report how they experienced a relaxed and peaceful state of mind within a very short time, became pain-free or breathed new air. Some of them also sensed and absorbed the subtle energy (vibration) and usually classified it higher than anything they had experienced so far. In cases where the vibration was measured with instruments, it almost regularly exceeded the highest values of the respective measurement scale.

Testimonials are regularly published in the magazine “Agnihotra Aktuell“ (in English). Detailed descriptions of the practical application of Homa Therapy have been compiled in the book “Agnihotra“ (up to now in German language only).

Garden and Agriculture

In Homa cultivation, the subtle energy structure of plants is strengthened, the quality of the soil is upgraded and much more. The germination of the seeds and the rooting are promoted which enable a better nutrient uptake, faster growth and thus good crop yield. Homa vegetables and fruits have harmonious structures, taste better and have a longer shelf life – all with less expenditure, since no chemicals for fertilization and crop protection such as pesticides and herbicides are needed. At the Agnihotra Farms we practice Homa Farming in vegetable gardening, orchards and beekeeping.

AGNIHOTRA APPLICATIONS

Homa Farming

Homa Farming is a method in which the human being works in harmony with Nature and the cosmic powers. It is thus possible to offset harmful environmental influences and therefore contribute to the regeneration of Nature. The entire biological diversity is included therein, where one supports the other.

At the Homa-Hof Heiligenberg we have been practicing Homa Farming for the past thirty years. Despite adverse conditions (bad quality of the soil, altitude of more than 700 metres) we were gifted already in the first year with such an abundant, healthy harvest that hardly anybody wanted to believe that it was all organic. Since then we were able to acquire a lot of experience that we are happy to share with everyone.

Homa Farming is a holistic procedure and can be combined with any good organic, ecological farming method. The most important principles are:

the regular implementation of Vedic fire techniques (called Homa or Yajnya, whereby Agnihotra is the fundamental yajnya)

the addition of Homa ash to every kind of fertilization or treatment of the soil, seeds and plants

the conscious, friendly relationship of the human being to plants, animals and nature

With Homa, the entire process of food production is renewed from scratch whilst purification and healing are happening on all levels:

Soil

A variety of useful micro-organisms bustle around in healthy soil. Through Homa Therapy their growth is encouraged greatly. Thereby toxic substances can be converted, the phosphorus in the soil becomes water-soluble, water can be stored better, etc.

The introduction of Homa ash into the soil together with nitrogen accumulation through the loosening of the soil does not only enrich it with life-promoting vibrations, but also helps to stabilize the quantity of potassium, nitrogen and trace elements in the soil. This is where earthworms thrive and multiply faster thanks to increased hormone production and thus produce more moisture and good quality humus.

At the Agnihotra Farms the soil quality has been improving from year to year. The structure of the soil has become fine and crumbly and contains important nutrients. In years of enduring drought, we made the astonishing observation that even after many weeks without rain the soil was still moist a few inches beneath the surface. A depletion of the soil was not determined. Instead, we noticed an enhancement of the surface soil.

We use yajnya ash and occasionally rock flour and natural preparations such as nettle manure for fertilization. Accruing organic waste is placed directly on the fields for putrefaction. Occasionally we receive a little cow manure from a nearby organic farmer for fertilizing and notice that it benefits the soil and the plants. We consider the crop rotation, which means that a heavy feeder (such as cabbage) is followed by a light feeder (such as salad). Approximately every three years we perform green manuring. In this way, the soil can regenerate.

Plants

When air, soil and water are whole and pure, healthy crop growth is a natural result.

Investigations have shown that germination is accelerated in Homa Farming, as well as the formation of chlorophyll. Thereby the system of oxygen circulation in Nature is supported.

We were able to observe that Homa vegetables have a strong formation of roots; nutrients can thereby be absorbed and processed significantly better. Vegetables and fruit are of excellent quality in texture, taste, colour, core and seed size. Field crops often convince through extra-ordinary size and radiant appearance. According to our experience, Homa vegetables are easier to digest (the cabbage, for example, does not cause such strong flatulence for many people) and significantly longer-lasting.

A big difference to conventionally farmed vegetables can also be observed in the cell structure of plants that grow in the Homa atmosphere. This is especially noticeable in root vegetables, in which you can see exceedingly harmonious and distinct, mandala-like structures (investigation PDF 1,4 MB). These structures indicate high subtle energies (vibrations) of the plants and fruit, which is something that sensitive persons and newer measuring devices confirm again and again.

Air and Atmosphere

A very important factor in farming is the air quality. Just like us, plants are also breathing and can thus absorb pollutants. Through yajnyas the surrounding air is purified and provided with nourishing substances. The ancient science of Homa Therapy states that plants acquire a large part of nourishment through the atmosphere. Air is therefore considered to be the most important food source.

According to our experience, the smoke that arises through yajnyas has a great effect on plants. Sometimes it is sufficient to perform a single yajnya under a sick tree to heal it.

Water, Rain, Weather

Every farmer is usually at the mercy of water contamination and the changing weather conditions. Not so in Homa agriculture. As explained in “Effects“, a very potent purification and energization of water, the foundation of all life, ensues through the performing of yajnyas.

Observations in the most diverse parts of the world show that a type of ‘micro-climate’ arises over areas in which yajnyas are regularly performed. Many times, we noticed that we were spared hail when, just a few miles away, great damage was caused. We also perform yajnas that help to promote rain during dry spells. Yajnyas generally help to harmonize the climatic conditions.

Animals

For several years we kept up to eight goats and could thus observe the positive effects of Agnihotra on animal husbandry. As blood tests have shown, the goats were already infected with CAE, an immuno-deficiency-virus, when we bought them. The disease however never erupted in any of the goats, nor did they show any kind of weakness or other indications of illness. Astonishingly, the goats gave plenty of milk for up to four years without having to be served in-between. Just like with humans, wounds, inflammations and similar conditions can be treated successfully with Agnihotra ash in animals as well. Through the practice of yajnyas wild-living animals are attracted, which can be observed primarily with birds. The little pipistrelle, for example, lives at the Agnihotra Farms. The protected red kite (in spring and autumn we often count up to twenty animals) meanwhile is unfortunately endangered through the nearby wind turbines.

AGNIHOTRA APPLICATIONS

Homa Farming – a blessing for all

The results of this easy Homa method delight and please us year after year. Size, taste and structure of the plants are remarkable even during extreme weather conditions.

Homa farming means friendship with nature – a friendship that does not destroy resources, does not fight battles against vermin and that can be handed over to coming generations without risky dependencies. The financial expenditure for care of soil and plants are very low, yet the crop yield is convincing.

One of our goals at the Agnihotra Farm is to show how nature comes into equilibrium again in an atmosphere that has been purified through yajnyas, and therefore becomes a source of healthy, energy-rich food. Homa Farming will become always more important for our nutrition in the future. The Agnihotra Farm is a place where interested individuals can learn all of the necessary yajnya tools for free.

Insects

Insects are very important for an intact ecosystem. Because of this, their dramatic decline is extremely alarming.

The Agnihotra Farm became a refuge for useful insects that reside here in great numbers and variety. Apart from the performance of Homa and ash preparations, we facilitate this also through regular green manuring that is simultaneously a pasture for bees and other insects. In addition, we planted hedges. Homa and prudent field care should always go hand-in-hand.

Bees were kept successfully at the Agnihotra Farm from the very beginning. They are so important for pollination that we will report separately about them.

Insects that can cause damage also live with us, but in a balanced ratio, so that we cannot record any special damage.

Cultivation

Apart from the regular practice of yajnyas, it is normally sufficient to spread the ash on fields and gardens. Onions, seed and seedlings are furthermore prepared if they are mixed with Homa ash or watered with ash water. For this, add up to four teaspoons of ash to a 10-litre watering can and let it stand like this for at least a day. At the Agnihotra Farm we also observe “The Royal Principle”, with which we have had very good experiences. Help in the case of insect infestation (for example, lice, cabbage white butterflies) As we could ascertain, plants at the Agnihotra Farm have enough defences to fight back against unwanted insects. If an infestation should still happen, the following spray solution can help: Add about two tablespoons of Agnihotra-ash-powder to five litres of water. Let it stand for at least one day, ideally three days. Then filter the ash water through a coffee filter or a cheesecloth, because the powder can otherwise block the spray nozzle. Spray the leaves thoroughly twice a week. Repeat if required.

Fertilizer

In Homa Farming we fertilize primarily with ash. If, however you have had good experiences with organic products such as nettle manure, you do not need to renounce it. Simply add some yajnya ash when you set it (one teaspoon of ash into ten litres of water, or 3-4 tablespoons into two hundred litres of water). If you have a garden, you can get good humus by scattering a little ash onto the compost heap from time to time.

Yajnyas

Three different yajnyas are employed in Homa Farming:

Agnihotra – the fundamental and most important yajnya, which is performed at sunrise and sunset.

OM Tryambakam Homa – this yajnya can be performed for a longer period of time independently of time of day.

Vyahruti – a very short yajnya, which we usually perform at the Agnihotra Farm at 10 am, 3 pm, 6 pm and 9 pm, and also before special activities and occasions. It has particularly favourable effects on the three ‘lokas’ (earth, atmosphere and the area above).

Homa fires have an effect within a radius of about 1.5 km (about one mile) and up to a height of about 12 km (about 7.5 miles). You can learn all of these three yajnyas for free in our different seminars.

Homa and bees

At Agnihotra Farm the effects of Homa fire on the atmosphere, soil, plants and living beings have been researched since 1988. Special attention was given to bees.

The fundamental Homa-fire is Agnihotra. It is performed daily at sunrise and sunset and has enormous positive effects.

How Agnihotra helps bees

Through Agnihotra all areas of beekeeping are given support:

Bees: Agnihotra strengthens and harmonizes bees; they become resistant to disease and unfavourable environmental influences.

Plants: Bees need healthy plants to produce good honey. Through Agnihotra, plant development is stimulated; air and soil are purified and the plants become vigorous. Moreover, the bees absorb the nourishing ingredients through the nectar.

Beekeeper: Agnihotra reduces stress and guides the beekeeper towards a calm and peaceful frame of mind. This is fundamentally a prerequisite to recognize the needs of the bees and to act upon them.

How does beekeeping with Homa work?

Bees are kept as a living organism in a natural way, as far as this is possible. We pay attention so that bees never suffer any need and always leave them enough honey to also cope well with a possible food gap.

After many years of observation, the following treatment has proven ideal at Homa-Hof:

The most regular possible performance of Agnihotra is the fundamental prerequisite. Every now and then we also perform Agnihotra in the bee house; as a rule, we trust the radial effect of the little fire of about 1.5 km.

With every Agnihotra, a highly effective ash is obtained that can be used medicinally and as fortification. It is alkaline, rich in minerals, highly energizing, has bacteriostatic, fungicidal properties and much more.

After working with the bees we sprinkle Agnihotra ash on top of the frames and on the landing edge.

Instead of using a smoker, we spray Agnihotra ash water when we work with bees. Both Agnihotra ash and Agnihotra ash water strengthen the bees and calm them.

When we feed the bees extra for wintertime, we add Agnihotra ash and several tea herbs to the winter food.

Bees and Honey

The honey harvest at Homa-Hof is very rich, often also extraordinarily large although we let the bees keep enough of their own honey. The excellent active ingredients produced by Agnihotra are again found in the honey which is confirmed by the taste. From our experience, Homa honey clearly differs from all other honeys; the taste is intense, although soft and gentle. It is hard to describe. Also, the propolis yield is raised in value.

Bees and Varroa

In general, Varroa mites cause a lot of damage to bees. Agnihotra is a universal remedy; it does not kill anything, but harmonizes the environment. The immune system of the bees is strengthened and thus outbreaks of Varroa and virus diseases are resisted. Apart from the Agnihotra ash, we also use essential oils or oxalic acid, but we have been able to reduce this over the years. In this way the Varroa problem is minimized to a tolerable level, and we have hardly any bee losses in winter.

We don’t see the Varroa mite as an enemy, but as a challenge to bring the beekeepers back to the right attitude towards the bees and to include nature as well as all her living creatures. It is pointed out in ancient Vedic scriptures that we should bear this in mind in all animal stock maintenance, to keep living creatures in a happy condition. This clearly has an effect on the quality and quantity of the produce. We can confirm this (also in experiences with goats).

Can Homa prevent the dying out of bees?

From our experience, yes. When more people continue to practice Agnihotra, the environment, including bees, is strengthened and purified so much that everything can return to a state of harmony. An increased occurrence of damage indicates an imbalance. Nearly 30 years of research at Homa-Hof Heiligenberg shows that damages and diseases in plants and animals are almost absent when Homa fires are being performed. Agnihotra is an all-embracing remedy that has the potential to give us and the environment a return to a healthy and harmonious state.
